Korean Language and Culture Position Available in Qatar

The Qatar Inter­na­tion­al Acad­e­my for Secu­ri­ty Stud­ies (QIASS) seeks can­di­dates for a Kore­an lan­guage and cul­tur­al instruc­tor posi­tion based in Doha, Qatar, to begin in Jan­u­ary 2011.

This is a full-time, two-year con­tract posi­tion, which involves teach­ing one class of 6–8 stu­dents in an inten­sive class­room envi­ron­ment (approx­i­mate­ly four hours of instruc­tion five days a week). Can­di­dates should pos­sess native or near-native flu­en­cy in Kore­an and Eng­lish (or Ara­bic), a master’s degree in a rel­e­vant sub­ject, and three to four years of teach­ing expe­ri­ence, prefer­ably at the uni­ver­si­ty lev­el.

QIASS offers an extreme­ly com­pet­i­tive salary and ben­e­fits pack­age, includ­ing full-furnished hous­ing, a month­ly stipend to help defray trans­porta­tion and phone costs, roundtrip air­fare to the instructor’s home coun­try at the beginning/end of the con­tract and after one year of ser­vice, and thir­ty days of paid vaca­tion plus local hol­i­days.
