Korean Economy Is Topic of Annual Lecture Series

Oppor­tu­ni­ties and Chal­lenges in the Kore­an Econ­o­my” is the top­ic of the annu­al Dr. N.H. Paul Chung Memo­r­i­al Lec­ture and Lun­cheon spon­sored by the Pacif­ic Asian Man­age­ment Insti­tute of the Shi­dler Col­lege of Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tion on Tues­day, August 12, 2014.

photo: Euh Yoon-DaeThe guest speak­er will be Yoon-Dae Euh, chief exec­u­tive offi­cer and chair­man (retired) of KB Finan­cial Group, Inc., Korea’s largest bank­ing group. He was pres­i­dent of Korea Uni­ver­si­ty and the first chair­man of the Pres­i­den­tial Coun­cil on Nation Brand­ing, Korea. He pre­vi­ous­ly served as vice-chair of Korea’s Nation­al Eco­nom­ic Advi­so­ry Coun­cil; chair of the Advi­so­ry Board of the Min­istry of Edu­ca­tion and Human Resources; Mon­e­tary Board mem­ber of the Bank of Korea; board mem­ber of the Korea Devel­op­ment Bank; and chair­man of the Steer­ing Com­mit­tee of Korea Invest­ment Cor­po­ra­tion. Euh holds a Ph.D. in busi­ness admin­is­tra­tion, with a con­cen­tra­tion in inter­na­tion­al finance, from the Uni­ver­si­ty of Michi­gan.
