The Center for Korean Studies has concluded a new academic exchange and coöperation agreement with the Korean Language Education Research Institute of Seoul National University.
The agreement went into effect December 27, 2007, with the exchange of signed copies of the agreement by Prof. Ho-min Sohn (seen on the left in the photograph at right), director of the Center for Korean Studies, and Prof. Hyun-sik Min, director of the Korean Language Research Institute.
The agreement provides for the exchange of faculty members and students for research, study, and teaching; exchange of information, teaching materials, and research publications; organization of seminars, workshops, and conferences; and coöperative research, cultural, and educational activities. It was implemented under the terms of an existing exchange agreement between the University of Hawai’i at Manoa and Seoul National University.
The University of Hawai’i maintains academic exchange agreements with more than a dozen institutions of higher education in Korea.
