2018 Academy of Korean Studies Fellowship Program

Academy of Korean Studies photoThe Acad­e­my of Kore­an Stud­ies Fel­low­ship Pro­gram for Kore­an Stud­ies pro­vides inter­na­tion­al schol­ars and doc­tor­al can­di­dates with oppor­tu­nites to car­ry out research in Korea. Appli­ca­tions are being accept­ed until Octo­ber 15, 2017, for research to be car­ried out between Jan­u­ary 1 and Decem­ber 31, 2018. Appli­cants can apply for sup­port for a min­i­mum of one month to a max­i­mum of one year.

The fel­low­ships are avail­able to for­eign schol­ars (includ­ing those who have Kore­an nation­al­i­ty with per­ma­nent res­i­dence sta­tus in for­eign a coun­try) in the human­i­ties and social sci­ences who are cur­rent­ly engaged in Korea-related teach­ing and research activ­i­ties.

Grants include economy-class round trip air­fare, a month­ly stipend, access to the facil­i­ties of AKS includ­ing the library, and up to 50 per­cent dis­count on AKS Guest House charges.
