Smith College logoThe Pro­gram in East Asian Stud­ies at Smith Col­lege, Northamp­ton, Mass­a­chu­setts, invites appli­ca­tions for a full-time posi­tion as lec­tur­er in Kore­an stud­ies. This is a two-year, non-tenure-track, ben­e­fits-eli­gi­ble appoint­ment, begin­ning July 2015.

Smith seeks some­one trained in the human­i­ties or social sci­ences to teach sur­veys of pre­mod­ern and mod­ern Korea and advanced Kore­an stud­ies cours­es (oth­er than lan­guage and lit­er­a­ture) from inter­dis­ci­pli­nary and com­par­a­tive per­spec­tives. The nor­mal teach­ing load is five cours­es per year.
