The School of East Asian Studies at the University of Sheffield invites applications for a full-time associate professorship/full professorship in Korean studies. Applicants may be in any area of Korean studies. The post will be at the level of senior lecturer (associate professor) or reader (full professor, junior level).
Applications are invited from candidates with experience in the humanities or social sciences with a focus on Korea with fluency in both Korean and English.
The successful candidate will be responsible for further developing and enhancing the four-year undergraduate degree program in Korean studies; will play a key role in delivering the School’s research and teaching agenda by devising, developing, and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules in his or her area of expertise; will enhance the research profile of the School through the supervision of post-graduate research students (Ph.D. and M.Phil.); and will enhance the School’s international research reputation through substantial research activity.
