Korean Language Flagship Program Seeks Applicants for Fall Semester

Language Flagship logoThe Kore­an Lan­guage Flag­ship Cen­ter at UH Manoa is now accept­ing appli­ca­tions for the fall 2011 semes­ter. The Cen­ter offers sev­er­als options for inten­sive study of Kore­an, includ­ing a B.A. in Kore­an for pro­fes­sion­als, M.A. in Kore­an for pro­fes­sion­als, and a cer­tifi­cate in Kore­an for pro­fes­sion­als.

The Lan­guage Flag­ship pro­gram, fund­ed by the Nation­al Secu­ri­ty Edu­ca­tion Pro­gram, seeks to train stu­dents who will take their place among the next gen­er­a­tion of glob­al pro­fes­sion­als, com­mand­ing pro­fes­sion­al-lev­el pro­fi­cien­cy in Kore­an, iden­ti­fied as one of the lan­guages crit­i­cal to U.S. com­pet­i­tive­ness and secur­ty.
