Korean Baby Boomers: Who Are They?

Dr. Mee Hye Kim will present research on the baby boomers in South Korea Mon­day, Decem­ber 5, 2016, at 12 noon. She will speak from noon to 1:00 p.m. in Gart­ley Hall, Room 018, on the Uni­ver­si­ty of Hawaii Manoa cam­pus.

Kim is a pro­fes­sor at Ewha Wom­ans Uni­ver­si­ty with exper­tise in geron­tol­ogy, women’s wel­fare, and social wel­fare pol­i­cy analy­sis. She has spent this year as a vis­it­ing schol­ar at the Myron B. Thomp­son School of Social Work.

She is cur­rent­ly a board mem­ber of the Fed­er­a­tion of Kore­an Geron­to­log­i­cal Soci­eties, a for­mer pres­i­dent of the Kore­an Geron­to­log­i­cal Soci­ety, and a com­mis­sion­er of the Social Wel­fare Com­mit­tee of Seoul City, Elder­ly wel­fare sec­tion.
