Korea Focus, a mainstay journal of the Korea Foundation, is a useful source of current information and research related to Korea. Each issue includes translations of newspaper editorials and columns, as well as scholarly essays on Korea’s politics, foreign relations, inter-Korean issues, economy, society, and culture. These articles, carefully selected from leading newspapers and academic journals, represent the views of opinion leaders of Korean society, with regard to issues of vital concern, domestically and internationally.
Korea Focus is now available as a monthly webzine at http://www.koreafocus.or.kr while the quarterly print edition continues to be distributed to academic institutions, individual researchers, government agencies, and relevant public and private organizations in some 130 countries with emphasis on areas where on-line communication might not be readily accessible. The on-line edition offers monthly e-mail services to regular readers through a simple registration of an e-mail address.
Copies of the print edition of Korea Focus are available in the Center for Korean Studies library.
As a nonprofit organization affiliated with Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Korea Foundation is dedicated to the promotion of global understanding about Korea, in an effort to enhance the coöperative relations of the international community.
