Jae My Postgraduate Scholarship in Korean Studies at the University of Sydney

In order to pro­mote and encour­age research on Kore­an stud­ies, the Jae My Hold­ings Pty. Ltd. has estab­lished the Jae My Post­grad­u­ate Schol­ar­ship in Kore­an Stud­ies at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Syd­ney, Aus­tralia. The schol­ar­ship will pro­vide three years of sup­port for a full-time Ph.D. stu­dent doing research on a top­ic in the human­i­ties and social sci­ences in Kore­an stud­ies.

Appli­cants should have an excel­lent hon­ors degree or M.A. in Kore­an stud­ies (or equiv­a­lent). Those award­ed a schol­ar­ship must enroll as full-time Ph.D. stu­dents and pur­sue research in the Depart­ment of Kore­an Stud­ies with­in the School of Lan­guages and Cul­tures, Fac­ul­ty of Arts at the Uni­ver­si­ty.

The schol­ar­ship stipend is $20,000 per year (tax exempt). The peri­od of tenure is up to three years. Exten­sion of the schol­ar­ship is not per­mit­ted. The schol­ar­ship does not cov­er tuition fees, so stu­dents will need to find oth­er sources to fund their tuition.
