Documentary Film Koryo Saram and Slide Lectures on Art

Komelia Kim metalworkThe Cen­ter for Kore­an Stud­ies will host a pre­sen­ta­tion of the doc­u­men­tary film Koryo Saram: The Unre­li­able Peo­ple and three illus­trat­ed lec­tures on aspects of Kore­an art on Mon­day, Jan­u­ary 5, 2009, begin­ning at 4:00 p.m.

The pro­gram is being pre­sent­ed in con­junc­tion with the exhi­bi­tion Traces and Tra­jec­to­ries: Cur­rent Works by Ten Kore­an Amer­i­can Artists, being dis­played at the Hon­olu­lu Acad­e­my of Arts Acad­e­my Art Cen­ter at Linekona Jan­u­ary 7–31, 2009.

The film will be pre­sent­ed by Y. David Chung, one of its cre­ators. The lec­tures will be giv­en by three of the par­tic­i­pants in the Traces and Tra­jec­to­ries exhi­bi­tion: Kloe Sookhee Kang, Yoonchung Park Kim, and Komelia Hong­ja Okim.
