Conference: Korean Nation and Its Others

The Uni­ver­si­ty of Hawai’i Cen­ter for Kore­an Stud­ies will host a con­fer­ence titled “Kore­an Nation and Its Oth­ers in the Age of Glob­al­iza­tion and Democ­ra­ti­za­tion” April 20–21, 2007. The con­fer­ence will be a broad review of cut­ting-edge works on the emerg­ing Kore­an minori­ties in the age of glob­al­iza­tion and demo­c­ra­t­ic con­sol­i­da­tion and their cur­rent and poten­tial influ­ences on the con­cept of Kore­an nation. The con­fer­ence, spon­sored by the Cen­ter for Kore­an Stud­ies with the assis­tance of the Acad­e­my for Kore­an Stud­ies, will take place in the Center’s audi­to­ri­um.
