Colloquium: Syngman Rhee in Hawaii

The Cen­ter for Kore­an Stud­ies fall col­lo­qui­um series con­tin­ues on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 6, 2008, with a pre­sen­ta­tion titled “Dr. Syn­g­man Rhee’s Activ­i­ties in Hawai’i, 1913–1945” by Duk Hee Lee Murabayashi. The col­lo­qui­um will be held in the Cen­ter for Kore­an Stud­ies audi­to­ri­um begin­ning at 4:00 p.m.

Duk Hee Lee Murabayashi is one of Hawai’i’s fore­most researchers and writ­ers on the his­to­ry of Kore­ans in the Islands and is the author of a new book on the his­to­ry of the Kore­an Chris­t­ian Church, the Kore­an Chris­t­ian Insti­tute, and the Tongji­hoe.
