Call for Papers: The Third International Symposium on Korean Adoption Studies

The Inter­na­tion­al Kore­an Adoptee Asso­ci­a­tions (IKAA) plans to con­vene the Third Inter­na­tion­al Sym­po­sium on Kore­an Adop­tion Stud­ies as part of the 2013 Kore­an Adoptee Gath­er­ing. The sym­po­sium is sched­uled for July 30, 2013, at the IKAA Kore­an Adoptee Gath­er­ing in Seoul. For more infor­ma­tion about the Gath­er­ing, see http://gathering.ikaa.info/en.

The field of Kore­an adop­tion stud­ies is specif­i­cal­ly con­cerned with inter­na­tion­al adop­tion from Korea, as well as with over­seas adopt­ed Kore­ans. This This day-long mul­ti­dis­ci­pli­nary sym­po­sium will bring togeth­er schol­ars from around the world who are con­duct­ing research in the field of Kore­an adop­tion stud­ies and will
com­prise paper pre­sen­ta­tions and open discussions.

Pro­pos­als for pre­sen­ta­tions at the sym­po­sium are due by Decem­ber 6, 2012, and should be sub­mit­ted by e-mail to TISKAS2013@gmail.com. Select­ed papers will be due June 15, 2013. Sub­mis­sion of a com­plete con­fer­ence paper by the due date is a require­ment for par­tic­i­pa­tion in the symposium.
