Call for Abstracts: 8th World Congress of Korean Studies

World Congress of Korean Studies logoThe 8th World Con­gress of Kore­an Stud­ies will take place at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Penn­syl­va­nia in Philadel­phia Octo­ber 5–7, 2016. The con­gress theme is “Kore­an Cul­ture, Seek­ing Insights for the Future.” The Con­gress is designed to bring togeth­er schol­ars and experts to present recent research and exchange aca­d­e­m­ic infor­ma­tion as well as to pro­mote net­work­ing among Kore­anists.

Prospec­tive par­tic­i­pants are invit­ed to sub­mit pro­pos­als for pre­sen­ta­tion at the Con­gress, which will be host­ed by The Acad­e­my of Kore­an Stud­ies and the Uni­ver­si­ty of Penn­syl­va­nia. Pro­pos­als for pan­els and indi­vid­ual papers must be sub­mit­ted through the World Con­gress Web­site. Look for the call for papers/application link. Pro­pos­als are being accept­ed between March 16 and April 30, 2016. Noti­fi­ca­tion of review results will be issued by May 27, 2016. Full papers will be due by August 21.
