The 8th World Congress of Korean Studies will take place at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia October 5–7, 2016. The congress theme is “Korean Culture, Seeking Insights for the Future.” The Congress is designed to bring together scholars and experts to present recent research and exchange academic information as well as to promote networking among Koreanists.
Prospective participants are invited to submit proposals for presentation at the Congress, which will be hosted by The Academy of Korean Studies and the University of Pennsylvania. Proposals for panels and individual papers must be submitted through the World Congress Website. Look for the call for papers/application link. Proposals are being accepted between March 16 and April 30, 2016. Notification of review results will be issued by May 27, 2016. Full papers will be due by August 21.
