Berkeley Korean Studies Center Recruiting Program Director

image: UC Berkeley CKS logoThe Cen­ter for Kore­an Stud­ies at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Cal­i­for­nia, Berke­ley, has an open­ing for a pro­gram direc­tor, a nonaca­d­e­m­ic posi­tion. The pro­gram direc­tor, in con­sul­ta­tion with the Cen­ter chair, asso­ci­at­ed fac­ul­ty, and the staff of the Insti­tute for East Asian Stud­ies, helps keep all aspects of the Cen­ter run­ning smooth­ly. Among oth­er activ­i­ties, the Cen­ter offers col­lo­quia, talks, and con­fer­ences; occa­sion­al per­for­mances; sup­ports Berke­ley schol­ar­ship on Kore­an top­ics; hosts vis­it­ing schol­ars; and admin­is­ters grants. The pro­gram direc­tor should have strong Kore­an and Eng­lish lan­guage skills and both be well-organized and and have good inter­per­son­al skills.
