The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is seeking applications for a position as associate curator of Korean Art within the museum’s Department of Chinese & Korean Art. The associate curator is responsible for collections management, involving caring for and preservation of the museum’s collection of Korean Art; research and dissemination, via lectures and publications, of information about the collection; and the organization of exhibitions and acquisition of art for the collection.
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in art history with a specialization in Korean art and three to five years of experience with museum curatorial work, collections management, or teaching at the college level. Fluency in Korean and experience translating are required. A record of publications is strongly preferred.
