Assistant Professor/Faculty Fellow Position in Korean Studies at NYU

The Depart­ment of East Asian Stud­ies at New York Uni­ver­si­ty invites appli­ca­tions for appoint­ment as an assis­tant professor/faculty fel­low in mod­ern Kore­an stud­ies. The appoint­ment will be for two years begin­ning Sep­tem­ber 1, 2010, sub­ject to bud­getary and admin­is­tra­tive approval. Can­di­dates must have received a Ph.D. with­in five years of the date of appoint­ment and have a strong com­mit­ment to teach­ing. Fields of exper­tise sought include literature/film/media stud­ies, but all per­sons engaged with crit­i­cal and method­olog­i­cal issues con­nect­ed to Kore­an and East Asian stud­ies are encour­aged to apply.
