Art Exhibition Featured as Part of Immigration Anniversary Observance

As part of the obser­vance of the 110th anniver­sary of Kore­an immi­gra­tion to Hawai’i, Kore­an fiber artist Jee­un Kim will present a solo exhi­bi­tion of her recent work in Hon­olu­lu Feb­ru­ary 5–9, 2013.

The exhi­bi­tion, titled Kapa to Han­ji, Han­ji to Kapa, will be held at the Pegge Hop­per Gallery at 1164 Nuuanu Avenue in down­town Hon­olu­lu. An open­ing recep­tion will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tues­day, Feb­ru­ary 5.

Gallery hours are 11:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tues­day through Fri­day and 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sat­ur­day. For fur­ther infor­ma­tion, tele­phone the gallery at (808) 524‑1160.

Kim, a grad­u­ate of the Uni­ver­si­ty of Hawai’i at Mānoa Depart­ment of Art and Art His­to­ry and a for­mer instruc­tor in the depart­ment, now teach­es fiber art at Kyung­sung Uni­ver­si­ty in Pusan.
