APRO Scholarship for Fall 2013

image: apro logoThe APRO Schol­ar­ship Foun­da­tion of Korea each year awards a tuition schol­ar­ship to a full-time Uni­ver­si­ty of Hawaii at Manoa grad­u­ate or under­grad­u­ate stu­dent of Kore­an ances­try. Appli­cants may be U.S. cit­i­zens or res­i­dent aliens of Kore­an her­itage and may have been born in the Unit­ed States or Korea. Appli­cants must be stu­dents in good stand­ing with a high grade-point aver­age and may be enrolled in any major. The award will be made to a stu­dent with finan­cial need; stu­dents receiv­ing major schol­ar­ships or assist­ant­ships will not be con­sid­ered.

Appli­ca­tion doc­u­ments, Kore­an and Eng­lish in one file, can be down­loaded here. To apply, sub­mit the com­plet­ed appli­ca­tion via e-mail or hard copy to Dr. Chizuko T. Allen at chizuko@hawaii.edu (Moore Hall 416B, 956‑2210) by Fri­day, Sep­tem­ber 20, 2013. Sub­mit both the Eng­lish and Kore­an forms, if pos­si­ble. Appli­ca­tions must include a ref­er­ence let­ter from a UH Manoa pro­fes­sor using the APRO ref­er­ence form in Kore­an, if pos­si­ble. An Eng­lish ref­er­ence let­ter on let­ter­head is also accept­able.
